Great writing | | Hi folks, this is my first post on this site, I thought that was great. I grew 8 females from seed in my vegetable garden this year, picked out the 8 males before anything fertilized. They grew to 8 and 9 feet tall, I was hearing helicopters everytime the compressor kicked on for the refridgerator. We live in a very rural area, but if you turned your head 90 degrees and hapened to know what you were seeing, they were plain as day. I harvested almost 4 lb of manicured sense. I did 3 or 4 indoor grows 15 or more years ago, with a 1000w MH on a motorized track. Did OK, but one time a crop got away from me, didn't start flowering in time, knew nothing about stretch, I thought they would just stopm and flower. I almost topped them, but my buddy suggested we put chicken wire ( 1" holes ) over it to hold it down. We never heard of SOG, and it wasn't optimal, but it saved the day.
I took 18 clones off those mommas from outside, at the peak of flowering unfortunately, but 17 survived. I haven't grow in 15 years, too paranoid they would take my house kids dog etc ( for
" racketeering" assholes). but now I'm 50, anti drug Nazi daughters are away at college living the high life, I think I'm gonna grow again. Any way, thanks for a really comprehensive article, my clones ( plus a 12" dwarf female I found shaded out when I harvested, potted, and brought inside) are gonna go SOG I think, I just put them under a 400W HPS parking lot hed I have, plus I have a couple 150's I will supplement with at flower time. Wish me luck. |
