The water temperature in the buckets is too high and can lead to pythium root rot. Ideal temoeratures for res water is in the upper 60's and anything over 72 or so is asking for trouble IMO. Others say even colder.

I controlled the temp of my res by controlling the ambient temp. Try to bring it down 5 degrees or so to 75. Your plants like that temp better too.
