I've lost two entire crops to deer, that is, two years in a row everything i planted got eaten by deer (rather than smoked by me) ...i know i'm a slow learner (it shouldn't have taken two years), and it wasn't until i put a fence around my
that i was able to harvest anything. I don't know if deer are attracted to banana's, but i' don't think i'd take a chance..and even if it's racoons or skunks rather then deer your tender little plants might get stepped on by a banana crazed critter.
