Papaya smoke report

1) Strain - Papaya

2) Breeder
- Dr Chronic (not currently there do a google search for other sources, it's out there...)

3) Indica/Sativa -
mostly indica I'd say 75/25

4) Grown Indoors/Outdoors (If grown Indoors list Type of Light and Wattage)
- indoors, all CFL, with some UVB - 150 to 250 watts (depending on cabinet temps). During flowering this plant had it's own clip lamp dome relector with either 45 or 60 watts of 2700k to it's own bad self.

5) Days flowered and trichomes color(s)
- 56 and 58 days (advertised 8 weeks). All cloudy with a little amber

6) Medium used -
traditional Hempy style

7) Nutrients
- Flora Nova Grow/Bloom. Floralicious Plus, liquid Koolbloom, dry Koolbloom

8) Curing method and time -
two months, at this writing (oops, it's all gone!). Paper bag method, 4 days. After two weeks small wet cotton ball added into small baggie - for two weeks until moisture equalized.

9) Type of high - Up/Down
- stoned indica. There is sativa in there however. Another tester claims he experienced quite a bit of sativa influences. Personally I thought it more indica - excellent body high but not a daytime type high. Got some good body highs out of it. At higher usage you'll notice the sativa.

10) Potency -
good

11) Brief description of taste/effects -
sweet and earthy/peat like a good single malt scotch. Very very smooth.

12) Medicinal uses
- Chron's Disease. Insomnia. Gastrointestinal pain. Severe cramps.

13) Additional information -
recommended, would grow this again. Affordable compared to elite priced genetics. Other testers (3) loved it. More of an evening smoke, medicinal.

Very easy to grow and extremely forgiving. If you flower it early - shortly after FIM'ing, you can get 5 or 6 bic lighter sized colas - under CFL. Looking to do this properly under HPS.

At harvest when it's wet and just chopped I got an intense whiff of Guava (stinky stinky fruit). Otherwise there's a moderate pine (NL) odor. Not a super stinker during flower.

Colas are very pretty. At harvest, hairs were white and orange. Nice to look at. Budlets growing out of colas slightly spiral.

Upon further research I see other breeder(s) of this (wtf?) - claiming a KC-33 (KC brains, breeder). Quote:"Papaya-also known as Mango-is a cross between KC 33 (a sativa/indica blend) and an Afghani strain that's known for it's large bud production".

There's NO mango or papaya to the taste or smell at all. I have no idea where that comes from except for my aforementioned guava smell noticed at harvest and that's sticking your nose into fresh wet harvest clump of 6 colas. I consider my self well versed with actual tropical fruits, FWIW.

Small, dense grower, good for small spaces.
