| i dont think that nutes in my buds at 3 days b4 harvest is good....if that was even aimed at me.
and to be factual, the organics leave more shit in the buds that are not used up by the plant than any non-organic nute would, having been properly flushed.
also people DO flush organics out, every reall organic grower i know at least.
no one goes to the hilt full bore till harvest day wheather organic or refined.
its just that non-organic nutes are quicker to flush and stay gone when flushed, as organics , certain types of mixes (soil) will release more nutes no matter how much you flush and that there is really leaving residues in your buds.
soma says that he gives plain water for like 3 weeks prior to harvest, becasue of the nature of organic nutes in the soil, he has to start a plain water flush that early to totally ensure that the buds will burn and taste good.
same goes with non-organic nutes, if not flushed you get a lovely crackle and burn in your esophagus, i personally dont like that, and have never grown any weed that was not praised by all who smoke it for both quallity and taste.
actually last run i grew three speed queen plants (mandala seeds) in four gallon pots, with the moonshine mans soil mix. one bag of ocean forest, one bag of light warrior, and one bag of happy frog, and some dry organics from fox farm. all organic, nothing but plain old water (ro) and they were good looking plants and smelled good and had tight dense buds and all that good shit and none of the bads stuff , perfect grow, perfect harvest, no deficianies at all in veg or flower (till the end of course when i run them so the leaves get autumn colors)
and this run i grew 9 wappa (paradise seeds) and 3 speed queen plants in promix hp, and fertilized exactly like the nute calculator tells you to.
now both crops were bomb, but i did not notice any difference in the taste of the organically grown speed queen and the AN grown speed queen bud,
i even had some of the organic speed queen to compare it too, the only difference in the 2 were the actuall undertones of color, and the amount of trichomes
the organic SQ bud had the nice colorful tones to it, and the AN grown speed queen was more or less less colorfull, but a brighter green.
as far as taste goes i didnt think that there was a difference at all, but others said the organic one tasted better and more complex and some said the exact opposite, saying that about the AN grown speed queen. (i didnt tell any one which one was which or even tell them that they were the same starin, as far as they were concerned the pot they were comparing was 2 totally different strains)
now i know for a fact that if i told those i asked to judge the 2 samples, which ones was 100% organically grown and which one was "hydro fertillized", that certain people who judged it , would have totally differnt opinions of what ws the better one, just becasue of their "programming"
when it came down to it, out of the 13 people i had smoked out, no ne really could positivly tell me what one was better, i got a lot of compliments on it and when i told them what i was actually doing (this test panel consited of me and my cousin and his closest friend along with mine firends), they told me that they were both wonderfull tasting but the organic one was tastier. so as soon as i let the cat out of the bag, some who liked the AN grown bud intantly turned on it and modified their opinoins of the samples tested.
just goes to show you when either method is done PROPERLY, that is organic growing and non organic growing, on the same strain, that the results are soley dependant on the genetics. which is something all of us learned about early on in our growing carreer's from books and such. "always buy quality seeds, becasue thats what seperates the good bud fromt he shitty bud"
i did forget to mention that the AN grown buds were drastically more potent, and frosty looking.
i like organic growing and refined nute growing equally, but i find it easier to just use nutes from the bottle, than to build a soil mixture for early growth, vegative growth, and flowering.
AN does all the research for us, and on cannabis plants, so we dont have to. dont get me wrong i really despise AN's marketing tactics, all the hype and such and it could possibly make the newb grower think that he has to use AN or his plants wont grow, which is not the case. as ling as you give the plants what they want when they want it they will perform to thier full genetic pottential regardless of organic fertilizers or sythetic fertilizers.
