That sucks bro, sorry to hear it, I don't know exactly what the MJ laws in your state are so I can't argue on the 10 to life thing, but that sound awfully harsh. Make sure you get a good lawyer, you'll need one. And check the revised code for your state to see specifically what the guidlines for growing MJ is, thiere may be stipulations for non-mature plants, i don't know but it's worth looking into. I had to deal with the legal system when i was 19 for something non MJ related, it was a bunch of bullshit, they told me i was looking at 18 years, i was scared and freakin out, they trumped up the charges horribly and in the beggining refused to offer me any kind of a deal the only thing they told me i could do is plead guilty and hope i don't get the max, I refused to plead guilty and told them i would go to trial, well trial day came, and these a-holes pulled me in a side room, offered to lessen all the charges and give me only 6 months. I didn't even want to take that deal becasue I didn't think I really did anything wrong, and would have still taken it to trail if I had a better attorney. The moral of the story is don't let the legal system intimidate you, and make sure you have a good attorny.
