Welcome to the Garden, Van Omen. Thanks, I agree that mantids are cool.
When a plant is grown indoors and then moved outdoors, it should be acclimated for a day or two. Best spot is a place where filtered sunlight or semi shade is available for most of the day. The plants are in sad shape but you will still be able to salvage some buds from them.
