Congrats man! I've not been smoking for 20 years, only about 7, but I am also just about done with my little grow cab and will be starting my first grow soon so I'm feeling about the same as you now.
I think I'm just gonna stick the seeds in the soil, though. Never understood the purpose of germinating outside the pot unless you were doing hydro (which you are, I think) or you're going to grow a whole bunch and don't want to waste dirt on duds.
