I had to read this a few times, trying to see where RO water would fall in his comparisons. The effects of tap water, mineral water and seltzer water were used in this experiment. I wish he or someone else could speculate on useing RO water and when dureing the plants life do they need RO water the most?, and can straight RO water with know additives or nutes cause problems in the soil ph and the plants ability to take up nutrients or lock them out? Seems like a fine balancing act. My tap water meters out consistantly at 7.5 but was told certain flowering nutes will lower my ph, which would make useing 7.5 tap water acceptable. Problem im having is my RO water meters out at six. If I add flowering nutes like big bloom, it will lower the ph further, am I wrong on this? If so RO water has its downsides. Maybe RO water should be predominatly used in flushing situations more so than dureing regular growth. The more I read about water threads, the more confused I get.
