The Main Manifold

The main manifold runs almost the entire length of the inside of the tote, and about six inches below the top of the tote. Before installing the manifold you must install the misters on the manifold.

Start by using a straight edge to draw a line down the center of the manifold. The misters will mount on each side of this line and far enough away from the line so the misters will spray the center of the grow baskets. (About 1/8" away from the line.) I had to make three manifolds before I got the misters hitting the baskets in the right place.

I have six misters. Three are misting five baskets on each side of the tote. Use the proper size "tap" and bit when you thread the holes for the misters.

DO NOT glue both ends of the manifold. I usually leave the end of the manifold which is next to the hole in the tote unglued. This the only way to remove the pump should there be a problem later on in the grow.

Remember to check that unglued connection to make sure it is snug.
