yeah it can go bad. i kept my olivia's gel in the fridge. always replaced it after a year, no matter what was left in it. it always turns dark, but i think thats from exposure to air every time i opened it. i dont use cloning gel anymore, i have not since i bought the ezcloner about 2 years ago. so i have saved some money not having to buy cloning gel or root cubes.
