I.E. perfect lil' neighborhood doesn't want a grow house on there block..Think of the children..

DEA's radar is anything over 100 plants, anything smaller is a waste of valuable resources.
there is a grow house on the same block that mrs b and i live on. its the "big blue house" lol. everyone on the street knows they grow. the cops have been there several times, for other issues unrelated to the grow, i think they had their house broken into, or car. the electric company was out on the street once, and they came outside, all curious and stuff. mrs b talked to the electrical dude, and he said "yes, i know that "big blue" house is growing marijuana. pg and e dont care about that. as long as the bill is paid and there is no electricity stolen, we just dont care." he told her this. informing on a grow isnt profitable.

the 100 plant thing, as far as i know, is a mandatory minimum. for example, if a grower is found in a raid to have over 100 plants, the local enforcement agency handling the case would then have to bounce the case off the feds. if the feds are interested, they will take over the case. if they are not, they will just tell the state they are not interested, and the state will handle it from there. its a different story, if the feds are involved from the beginning. it is very likely there are more then 100 plants involved.

in my area of the country, seems to be, around 1000 plants and the feds like to get involved. anything else less then that, is nothing.
