My res is small, 5gal. But a 1/10hp chiller will work with larger res's. Also, with a smaller res the chiller doesn't have to work as hard which makes for a longer life span.

On my last grow I was using the frozen bottles of water, just didn't think the cost of a chiller was worth it. Vpur, I think it was, said the chiller was well worth the cost. I took his advice and haven't looked back.
