Do more colas really give more yield?

I was using lst to get more colas, but i had to transplant all my plants to a grow box.
So before I add any further stress to these girls and start tying them down again I would like the voices of experience to chime in...

does lst really improve yield?

Lets compare apples to apples.

6 plants
600 watts
without Lst it would have 1 cola each.
with Lst you would get more colas;

but, will more colas produce more than the plant with just 1 cola or with they be smaller colas in comparison?
