you cant go wrong...
the butter is simple. weed, water, butter, cheese cloth {or tshirt}. thats all you need.
add water.... just enough to cover all the weed.
add butter - add more than the recipe calls for. because butter will be lost. say 40% extra.
Bring butter and water to simmer {200 degrees}
Grind up all the dry buds, leaves, trim, whatever... drop it in the simmerign mixture.
simmer uncovered for 90-180 minutes. when the water level is about half what it was remove from heat.
Strain the mixture through a cheese cloth or old t-shirt. i find the tshirt works much better, letting much much less crap through the strain.
poor the strained mix into tupperwares, let sit overnight. in the morning you will have green butter on top, nasty water in the bottom. dump the water, use the butter and freeze the leftovers if there are any.
