I have, and if grown and flushed correctly, I can't tell the difference.

I don't know, that hasn't been my experience. I've grown with MG for 5+ years and once I learned not to overdose them and flush them well, have always had good yields and nice tasting stash.
Last couple of years I've been playing with other nutrients and honestly have more problems dialing in the dosage than I ever did with MG. Guess it depends on the grower.
