I've been reading a lil on air pruning in rockwool. I was wondering if this would be appropriate for MJ also. I have clones in 1.5in plugs that I'm currently moving into the larger 4in by 4in. These are going to sit in a tray with perlite on the bottom until they are ready for the flowering room. When ready they will be placed into 5gal top drip buckets with clay pebs.
As they explain it, with the plastic wrap the rockwool comes in removed, the roots will grow to the ends of rockwool and poke out, when they see light and the dry air they'll stop, kinda dry up at the tip. At this time smaller root hairs will extend from this main root thus filling the entire rockwool cube.
They claim that once an air pruned clone is moved into it's hydro system that the growth is
"explosive". Makes sense to me, figured I'd ask the experts. I have a lot of time before they have to go in so if this is a working method then I think it will benefit me.
Any ideas welcome and appreciated
Thanks fam
