U would like them in 2 different pots before the roots are not twisted together (a moist soil will help)... otherwise u will shock em and they won't like it.

if they use all the energy into stretching the leaves will be smaller.

watering when soil is soil is dry and the leaves are barely curving down helps the oxygen delivery to roots and u avoid rotting.
