I use this cloner and here is what I've found to be best:

70-75 degree water
Tap water only
Add a little PH down, but honestly, I get it in the 6.x range and never look again.
Spray them constantly w/ water

That's really it... the plants will yellow, but that's ok. In 5-10 days you'll have some nice roots and be ready to transplant.
