I am a bit old school on soil in that I don't spend much money on it. I don't buy any designer soils, I just mix my own. I buy a bag of nute free topsoil from Lowes at 2 bucks for 40lbs and a huge bag of unnuted perlite from a garden coop for 15 bucks per 20lb bag and mix them 50/50. I have been using this mix for years and it has always produced great results with stable PH.
