dont store it in buffer solution or RO water.
rinse the pen in tap water, and poor some in the cap {the little round part inside is for the ph bulb} make sure that little round tub has some water in it {tap or spring water, if your tap is hard}
to condition the pen for its first use, or any time it gets flakey as shit sit it in a glass of tap water for a while. soak it before you calibrate it for the first time.
when you calibrate, have two shot glasses handy. and NEVER poor the solution back into the bottles.
What model meter do you have exactly? i have never heard of cutting sensor cloth???? The PH sensor is a liquid filled glass bulb.
