Hey buzz ... the Acidanthera (Solomon's Sword) plants; I have also heard them called Peacock Lillies. I planted a bunch of them years ago; they bloomed one year and then never did again. They do produce "leaves" similar to a gladiolus, but no flowers. Not sure why.
Like your photos ... no crepe myrtles yet, but we do have buds on the bushes. Happy Gardening!!
