The problem with letting a bunch of insects near my plants is that it is an uncontrolled situation, that's why I'm looking for an alternative. Jasmonic Acid is already used on alot of different crops, tobacco being one of them. BOOM is absolutely right though, artificial defoliation, as well as insect attacks will acheive the same result, but again it is uncontrolled.
