It's a heck of lot easier to share successes than it is screw-ups. That being said... here's a strange one for you.
This year's 2nd OD crop was a minor disaster. (For details, go
here.) The last (3rd) group of starts (the grow had 3 staggered starts from clones), were smallish (by design) and had just begun showing flowers when my mishap nearly denuded them and put the brakes on their structural growth. In other words, I had a batch of sickly plants on my hands and I didn't know what do with them.
My first inclination was to cut them down and add them to the leaf barrel but some space had opened up in the tanning salon so I N'd them and put them into the 20/4 cycle that the other vegging plants were enjoying. 2-3 weeks later, the plant's younger/happier/luckier cousins had crowded them out so they went back OD to "re-flower" w/o having fully reverted to veg. (ie single and "tortellini" leaves; a stray, wispy, pistil dominant bud or two.)
It prolly was the mj that i'd ingested that was doing the talking, but I could swear i heard the words "you're a rotten SOB" emanating from the direction of these poor, confused plants on more than one late night visit to the garden.
Once OD (12 1/2 da) the stepdaughters reverted back to flowering at an accelerated rate and while they filled out- almost doubling their pre-semi-reveg size, (<-that's a mouthful), they had to make due w/ single leaf energy collectors and an underdeveloped skeleton. The yield was approx 1/8 of what their mothers had produced, the buds were small (like green rabbit turds) and/or loosely formed. The fragrance seems to favor the spicy-sweet side of the citrus-skunk equation a bit more than the mums did and while the potency prolly took a hit, my faculties aren't refined enough to discern a difference so the drop-off is likely 10%-15%- maybe less.
BTW I can only recommend this approach to folks who are firmly entrenched in the waste not-want not ethic, have high tolerance thresholds and/or have way too much time on their hands.
