I'm preparing to setup an aeroponics system. I'm going to use the big rubbermade type containers. Just a few questions for those of you who may be experienced with the subject.
Height is not an issue for the containers as I will have plenty of room for the plants of choice to grow. How much room should be allowed root growth? As I understand it now you fill part of the container full of water and then have an empty space available with misters to pump mist to feed the roots. How full should the container be of water? Six inches or so for two feet of space? Would that work well?
Also, water cycles. I've read so far that new water should be cycled every three days or so, would this be the best recommendation? How about nutrients? Mix in nutes everytime or once every couple of cycles?
Perhaps I have not read up enough on the issue, I apologize if my questions are rather basic. I've put about two days worth of research into the issue. Any URLs where I might be able to find more info would be greatly appreciated. I realize the best way to find out is through experience, but I'd like to start with a solid setup to get me going.
Thanks in advance,
