These systems can be one of the hardest ones to operate. Fast growth rates yes, but you need to find the correct way to run them in order to have good sucess. I have built 2 aero systems myself now. If I had it to do over again I would have gone with a different system. I have been pulling my hair out for almost 2 years with an aeroponics system. My first mistake was buying my system from Future Gardens. General Hydroponics is the people who first came up with this design. It came from Europe originally. Anyways, Future Gardens for some reason changed the design of the system. Aeroflo2 style systems the spray is supposed to be between the sites. Future Garden chambers have the spray under each plant site. This can cause some problems. They claim faster growth rates with the way they build them. I am hear to tell you that this is not true. I built my first one using Future Garden chambers. My second one I made my own chambers from square 5" plastic fence posts. I designed mine to spray about 2-3" from each plant site in between. My growth rate literally doubled to what it was with the spray under each site. The plants just get to wet with the spray directly under the sites. I built this one with an external 1/4 HP pump. I had to install a bypass due to the power of the pump. This by pass is controled by a valve which runs back into the res. providing oxygen. I can totally control the pressure now to the root zone. All of my plant sites now have good pressure. With the internal pump you will experience real weak spray toward the back sites. My suggestion is not too use those sites. The plants will grow slower and not keep up with the others. Okay I am gettiung carried away again sorry. Just wanted to inform everyone on my own experience with aeroflo2 systems.
