Just a thought:

I've got a question for everybody.

There are 2 main things that happen to light when growing outdoors to bring on flowering.
1, The days get shorter because the sun stays lower in the sky so the plants get less light.
2, Because the sun stays lower in the sky the light has to pass thru more of the atmosphere. Because of this the light spectrum changes from predominantly blue spectrum to predominantly red spectrum.
So here is my question:
Does less amount of total lumen hours bring on flowering or is it the red color spectrum that brings on flowering.
If it's the color spectrum changing & not less light in lumen hours, then what would happen if you left a predominantly red spectrum light like my red EVLs on 24/0?

Later.
