huh??? you say a diffused light source is better for 'penetration', even cite an example of a greenhouse, but say fluorescents aren't ok??? because they are diffuse lighting?

huh??? of course a bright 100k lumen light will KILL mold! you grow mold in the dark for the best results!!!
and i want to see the 30 lumen light that grows ANYTHING (but mold )

like it or not, powercow9, lumens are the standard way to measure light. throughout the entire lighting industry and around the world. and for good reason. par has not caught on because there are LOTS of problems with it, and some botanists just plain won't accept it.
