just logged into your disc. and thought I'd offer my 2 cents. I've used compact floros. before for veg. growth and found they worked excellant in that capacity (27w GE with
biax tech. in a "drop light"). About a year ago I got a
250w HPS from litemanu.com delivered to my door for $240.
In addition to the low price I like the fact that I was able to remove the ballast from the hood and convert it to a remote ballast system in under an hour with stuff around the house.
Back to compact floros. I found that the ge biax worked better than loa. It seemed bluer and the plants were a darker green under it than under the loa brand that had replaceable bulbs. |
