robyoung is beginning to sprout.

I think it clears things, but please be patient, and let me run it by u then, what I plan to do; based on what I believe you mean.

Set up a bubbling system, that is, for this purpose, water of around 7ph value, and an air pump, generating through an air stone alike an aquarium.

Next, U cut cut/burn holes in the lid of the bucket bubbler, and take cuttings fron your mother plant. Suspend the cuttings in the bucket, via sliding them in clear plastic tubing,to stop them from dropping in the water.

I gather the tubing fits snugly inthe hole u have burned in the lid, for ease f adjustment.

Apparently, u adjust the hight of the cuttings via moving the plastuc tubing up and down, I gather, {and please stop me if I am wrong}, u use the leaves of the cuttings slipped through the tubing, to stop the cuttings from falling through the plastic tube.

U adjust the hight of the cuttings "cut" end, so it is just above the water level, getting sprayed by the bubles generated by the air stone at the bottom of the bucket.

U use cloning gel or powder, and apparently see good strike rate, and root growth using this method?

If I have it right, do u use a clear container, so u have a good view of the closeness to the water surface, the rooting end of the cuttings are positioned at?

And if so far I am still tracking on course, does it matter if the rooting end of the cuting actually submerges?

If I am on track, could the bucket be simply a one gallon clear tuperwear container, with only a small amount of water?

Sorry to ask so specifically, I have just never condsidered doing it that way, I have always simply used 1 inch cubes of rock wool.

I have always got nearly 100 percent successs, but the method I have ben using poses a problem to the new way I want to grow, and if what I have understood fom u is acurate, it is the dream way to clone, for the way I want to grow.

U see I want to grow in a bubbler sysytem in future, and I have ben trying to figure out a way to get cuttings going without any medium, so I can just mingle the roots in with a basket of expanded clay, and pop into a bucket full of nutrient rich water.

So have I understod your system rightly? and are u saying u get good strike rates they way that I have explained?
thanx mate for working with me"
