I'm not sure what to do about the plastic, because the plants I have in dwc where bare root plants.
I washed the soil off the roots in warm water and mixed the roots in expanded clay balls, and put the lot in a warm mix of nutes to reduce the shock.
Phantom might be better to mention what he thinks as he has put rock wool in dwc.
I'm still thinkin about it.
But I imagine I would cut it away, but that hasn't been tried by myself.
