I Purchased a Sun grow 1 600 Watt HPS light. It has a switch from 120 to 240, on the front. I went to Wally world and picked up a dryer extension cord and a regular heavy duty appliance cord with three wires. I spliced them together and walla. My light now can fit into a 240 electric dryer spot. Now my question is. Do they make 240 capable timers And should I worry using my 15 amp 130 v Timer ? Also what type of extra watts should I get from a 600? Also what are the other benefits? I've read that it lowers your electric bill and it runs cooler. What runs cooler the lamp or the ballast? Also Would the Electric bill reduced at a noticeable rate? Does anyone have a equation? Thanks Lots of questions So I'll just keep searching.
