Talbot, do some serious research before you decide to top your plant. Use the search function and search for topping and LST. There is 1 particular thread I remember reading that had some really good info as to why you shouldn't top and why you should use the LST technique. Basically topping takes away from your plant. I know I know.. "but 2 tops come from where the 1 was" ... If you find the post I was referring to you'll come to understand my position. Look through the "Grow Journals" forum and concentrate on grows where people used the LST or SoG technique. You'll definitley get a higher yield if you train your plant rather than top it. Yes, topping may be easier but IMO, with only 1 plant, you should definitley go for the biggest yield possible. Plus, you'll learn a valuable growing technique, and I've heard it's great fun!
