One problem with your nature analogy...... the plant got stuck in LST cuz of the stupid bear, and I'm betting was stuck there for good... she didn't get let up for a bit, then knocked back down again.
Not that it really matters, anyways.
One other thing... isn't it more stressful for the plants to be repeatedly changing position... tied down, let up, tied down, let up, etc.
