Flip the pot upside down. If the soil won't come free, bang on the bottom of the pot with your free hand, but don't pull it by the stem. You'll lose a bit of soil, but that's ok- the rootball will hold together and come out cleanly and with little breakage. If it does break a bit, don't panic- just finish potting calmly. Your plant can lose a few roots and survive very easily. |
