It doesn't really matter if you're using cold water extraction. Over the 15-30 minutes that you'd be blendering a bag of trim you're essentially re-hydrating the vegetative material. Just make sure it's frozen when you start the process - this will make sure the trichomes get brittle and fall off the leaves.

If you're using a pollinator or shake method, dry is definitely a must to reduce stickiness.
