i don't think your location should have too much effect on the sun measurement, as long as you're in a reasonable location (not in Nome in the middle of the winter

), the noonday sun should be about 10k lumen/ft. sq just about everywhere...which is about EV 15...
one thing i have noticed, some meters have a wider angle of view (for example a 28 mm lens vs a 200 mm lens on your slr) and will tend to include more of the "scene" in the measurement than you really want, like trees, the side of the house, etc.
to get an accurate measurement, you want to measure
only the sun's rays, you don't want the meter to come up with an ev for the "scene" (like it's supposed to!!!)
that kW agrosun sounds fantastic! that' another thing, the reflectors sure make a difference. when you can read light that bright at different distances means there's not much dispersion, your reflector is really helping. what brand/type of reflector is that?
also, i'd like to use your data in the next chart - the kW lamp will make it more complete, OK???
