LoA doesnt make a 500 watt anything ( I wish they did ). The highest they put out ( so far ) is a 65 w fluro. flood light. What theyre saying is its equal. to a 500w whatever. Prolbably incandescent.
If you pass them by, you may be missing out. Harrod also mentioned these new 4ft x 1" fluro...cant recall . I believe in the not so distant future, the old 4' shoplight tubes will be obsolete...along with incandescents.
