well that's an improvement I didn't know about - and didn't look for.
the low priced submersible pumps at home depot will catch your eye, but those are for fountains -
you have to upgrade to get the pond pumps (meaning ok for your koi fish and water lillies) since they are not oil-filled.
the pump type says direct-drive, epoxy encapsulated
and with 7 sprayers I tried the 210 gph - and it was very quiet , but seemed weak when testing things out for a seperate reservoir idea-
I do still wonder if it would function ok with the simple single rubbermaid set-up - -
but for an extra $10. I exchanged it for the 325 gph which is plenty strong and added another sprayer and yes it is a bit noisy - about the same level as all the trickling/dripping water sound - it would be a pleasant plus for that background hummmm to be gone, and I've wondered if the quiet 210 gph (about $49.) could have been ok after all
