TDS1 is, or maybe was, a Hanna model - they may have discontinued it.
I'm up to 1030 ppm already -computing from an EC of 1.470 that would mean you would get 735 ppm on your TDS1 (there are no specs at Hanna website like there are for other models) = I'm assuming it converts to ppm by multiplying by 0.5 as most meters in that range are measuring hard water and the like, not nutes.
using dyna-grow (with dyna-bloom later) and a gallon of 10-3-3 bat guano tea mixed in per 7 gallons -
the tea dropped the EC and hence TDS by about 50 ppm
for the record, Canna grow is 22-8-28 and Canna bloom is 19-11-35
sure would like to get my nitrogen up, some of the ozzie mates using it I think run up around 1900 ppm
also since your meter only goes to 999 ppm you can take a sample out and dilute it 50-50 with distilled water to test when you get above 1000 ppm
