Well, here's the update ...
I made the cheapo-est setup I could think of based on Epicurus's and 10k's areo cloner and I must say that was way easy!
The cuttings were woody (oh well) but I stuck one in my contraption about the same day of the post and I am happy to report I say my first roots last night
They are about 1/8"-1/4" long I have no idea how I missed them but it was a welcome sight last night
Here's what I did. I got a 1 qt rubbermaid container. I had an old crappy air pump that is of medium size but since the area is small and the pump was old it balanced out a larger container and I would have used a larger pump. I used old air house as the supports for the clones I put 4 holes all together in the top one hole in the side of the container for the air hose from the pump to go through and lastly I bought a 24" bubble curtain for about $10. It is flexible so I placed as a big horseshoe in it to ensure maximum bubbles. I first filled it with 1/5 strength B-1 root starting solution about 1/2" from the bottom of the cuttings (I used Root Tone on the cuttings) then changed to straight water after 5 days. The pump was run 90 minutes on / 30 minutes off.
Temp was 78-88 and lights were 24/0 and 6" from the cutting. I put the cutting in and that was it! No misting, no foliar feeding, no dome.
I know this was about 2 weeks to see roots but I am thinking it will be much faster with a green actively growing shoot. Next round
Thanks Epicurus and 10K for the new idea. It worked just awesome IMHO
