![]() | Thanks... I just started using Jerry's Grow Patented Fert... Its made quite the mark in the Orchid industry... so far i've had best results using it half strength. Right now i'm flowering Neville's Haze & Kali Mist.

![]() | I have been looking through all the threads on nutrient strength. Do I follow the general way it is done for all systems on my aeroflo2 style system? I am week 4 from seed plants look real sick. I am using General Hydroponics nutes. Local grow shop suggested I try his mixing formula for GH nutes. 2/2/1 is the mix I used. The E.C. was 2.10 and PPM @ 1550 approx. I diluted it down to 1.65 ec or 1100-1180 range PH is 5.8-6.3 range. Sorry for asking this in several message sections. I need to get this resolved to stressed being sick to keep stressing over my medicine not growing . Appreciate any and all comments directed to my growing situation. My head is spinning trying to find the info in all of these great messages. Thanks in advance for helping this old fart out. ![]()

![]() | Great deal guys, I have been mulling over whether or not to buy an aeroflo system because I wasn't sure if the growth rates were going to be that much higher. Having read the tesimony of all you guys who've tried it, I decided to buy one. I am very excited to say the least. Thanks yall

![]() | So do you guys go with 1 min on 4 off? that is what i heard on one guys grow journal... it seems to me that a constant spray would provide sufficent O2...

![]() | The Aeroflo2 design systems can be running continuiously or placed on timers. The most popular way to set them up is with the 1 minute on 4 minutes off. Another way is run pump continiously until night cycle. Pump only needs to come on one time during a night (flower) cycle. Another grower tells me that when he flowers he starts to slowly stress the plants. By this I mean he would go from 1-5 minutes on, 5 minutes off. Keep increasing the off times till you are up to around 20-30 minutes off. No longer then 30 minutes that is pushing it. If this is timed to be happening in conjunction with the end of flower cycle potency of the herb will be increased. I am not sure how much of an increase you can cause by water stressing your plants but it does work. Some good advice with these systems is to NOT follow the advice in the intructions. It states that once the roots touch the bottom of chamber, push water level control tube to the bottom. I find that it is better to leave the control tube sticking up about 1/2-3/4" protruding up. This is a safety issue only, if by some fate of bad luck your pump dies, your plants will not follow suit . This would leave just a small amount of water in each chamber. I almost lost my plants once, Future Gardens convinced me that it is the best safety advice you can get for this system. Happy growing! ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | So what would you guys call this system. Aeroponics, hydroponics, or something else. I've had several people ask me & I don't know what to tell them. I got the idea for it from a friend who has something simialar that he grows 100 plants in. Not MJ though. Here's a pic. The 1/2" pvc pipe going into the grow tube has 2 holes for each net pot drilled into it. The water sprays out onto the sides of the net pots with enough force to create very small water droplets that then run down the roots thru the drain & back into the resevoir. The pump runs 24 hours a day. There's a link to the plans below.

![]() | While we're on the subject, what do you guys think of the "Aero 6" unit sold by InsideSun? I've just ordered one, but haven't mailed payment yet, so there's still a chance I can be talked out of it if need be :-) I suppose one could be built easily, but I'd just as well order a prebuilt system. Is this one any good? Should I cancel and order something else instead?

![]() | I'm using the Aero 4 unit and am running a journal on it. So far it seems good I guess with the exceptions that I've not provided an adequate environment. I was running it 24/7 but have it 30 minutes on/ 30 minutes off when I switched to flower and now that the roots are getting into the reservoir.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have used two aeroflow's 30's for grows. I think their okay. But only if you are doing clone grows. I have had a problem with the plants having real weak cell structures. They tend to grow longer and stringier in the aeroflow system then other systems. I don't know.. I have used a lot of different systems. I think that a sole bubbling bucket with a trained plant may give you the best growth/yield rate then anything else I have seen or done. I personally love BCuzz Bloom Booster. Organic hydro is the way of the future. I have had a plant grow 1 foot in 2 days after adding some BCuzz. You have to go to Hydro for this explosive growth, it is really awesome. When I did aero I went with system of 1 hr on and 1 hr off. In the aeroflow's I keep the pumps on 24/7. I guess I am rambling now. I just think you're better off building your own system then shoveling out the dough Gen Hydro wants you to pay for their overpriced systems. In hindsight. I'd build me a cheap aero system or a bunch of bubbling buckets. KP
