Hello my friends... I just finished my first soil grow (pretty successful - I got a ton of weed but it isnt as potent as I'd like!) SO, I'm off to start my next grow and I was hoping you aero growers could help me out a bit. Out of these three systems: The AeroSpring: http://www.howtohydroponics.com/aero.html The DWC bubbler bucket: http://www.overgrow.com/articles/2 The soda-bottle hydro: http://www.hydroponicsonline.com/11plant1.htm I wont be growing over 4 plants total, and Im planning on going with a Scrog setup. I'd like to use as little water as possible, because I have to either buy it or run it through a filter and heat it up in the microwave and its a real pain in the ***. As far as maitenence - I dont mind spending a lot of time in the garden - what Im really concerned about is: Which of these is the cheapest/easiset to maintain? Which of these does MJ seem to like best? Any specific problems to watch for with any of the units? Thanks in advance, Im really looking foward to your opinions! _Awake204

Thanks for the reply adderpuff! The DWC definately does look simpler (an opaque bucket and some bubbling stones with an aquarium pump!) Is that really all there is to it? What happens if the power goes out and the pump shuts off? How many gallons of water/nutes should I have for each plant? Does the pump run 24/7? Sorry if those q's are redundant...Im going to search for them now but I just figured it couldnt hurt to ask ![]() Is there a growth rate advantage to the Aerospring, or is that system better suited for growing more(larger) plants? _Awake204

it seems like a subtle thing that you could ignore - but without that inner lip it WILL leak -- scrub has a recent post with a pic that shows the lid on a rubbermaid 31 gal. I also made some changes like routing the pvc around the inside perimeter, and the valve on the end can then be cracked open back into the reservoir relieving pressure and making more bubbles.

Thanks for the reply malibu, While the aerospring sounds like where I'll want to be eventually, I think Im going to get myself started by throwing together a DWC bubbler. I'm only going to be growing a small number of plants (3-4 at the most), and I'm kinda broke right now..DWC seems cheaper to build. Thanks for the tip about the inner lip on the aerospring, though. Do you think there are any specific advantages to growing in an aerospring vs. DWC? Thanks again, Awake204
