pond style paddle pumps don't create enough pressure to use misters....sprayers maybe but that's hardly aeroponics. You're not just looking for GPH...PSI is important for the misters to work

the pump needs to at least be usable for aquariums and ponds, without being oil-filled, and toxic to fish and plants
- you also want to avoid transfering heat to the nute solution, Little Giant may be direct-drive, maybe run it for a day in the bathtub and see how hot it gets.

Its kinda funny that people jump to offer advice and dont know what they are advising about? Is it low pressure or high pressure aero? What type of sprayer heads are you using? What is the GPH through these heads? Is the pump going to pump through another device like a chiller? Do you have a chiller? Sub mag drive pumps are noisy too, noisier than a external pump that does 10x the volume and pressure. How many sprayer heads? Whats the discharge head pressure needed for the pump? Have you done a piping loss calculation before sizing your pump? Once you've answered these questions you should be close to ready to ask people for advice. Otherwise your going to get answers like you have been getting, that do not nesessarily pertain to you or to AERO.

uh have you checked into aero? Uh cause budget and aero dont work. Might want to look into DWC systems.

LOL thats funny, I was reading this thread the other day and noticed the date.

But while on the subject, I use a 350 GPH pond pump from Lowe's. It seems to work great. I try not to get toooo technical cos I'm usually toooo stoned!
