Or rather why not just measure and dividing your space for each net evenly?

Thanks!
Thats a good question Flyfishfreak. I have five baskets on each side of my tote. I am starting from seed. I can get away with having the plants this close together during veg stage. When I go lights out I cull the males and spread the females out. From the ten I start with I usually have four good females, one for each corner of the tote. I also have a maintenance hole at each end of the tote in the center.

"each row seems to be fairly far apart? Is there a reason for this?" Inside the tote I have one manifold holding a row of misters in the center of the tote. This runs the length of the tote and waters both sides.

You can see this on some of the root pics.

Ahh, this makes sense! I actually germed my first set of seeds, 4 of each strain to go in a tote with eight nets. As it turns out I realized I ordered femenized seeds...lol! Oh well, I am sure I will lose a couple due to my own inexperience, but I am proud to say as of this evening all eight popped! I am now wondering if I should start my journal (got some pics)?

Well thanks for answering my question and I think I may end up chopping a couple plants if i get some Herm's so I can spread them out a bit.

I have wondered if femenized seeds work and how do they know if they are female?

I'm glad I could help you out with your questions. Fell free to ask any time.

It's better to have too many grow sites than not enough. You can always plug a dixie cup with grow rocks in the holes you are not using.

Dixie cup filled with something to plug the holes. Good idea. I wrap a 2" x 2" rockwool square in Press-n-Seal then stuff that into my 2" diameter brushing.

Hey scrub,

Yea I'm very hi-tech. The dixie cups seal the hole in the top of the tote nicely.

I've had the question "why so many grow sites"? It's better to have too many than not enough.

Day F18
permalink

The plants have been flowering for eighteen days.

They are all showing female sex with one possible hermie, but it is the runt of the litter so I can loose it without too much grief.

The tallest branch is 25" tall.

Today I added five gallons of RO water with nutes. It seems the plants are using about a gallon of water per day. I'm loosing a little due to leeks, but not that much really. I might be loosing a little due to evaporation, but that can't be that much either. I wonder what three small plants are doing with a gallon of water a day.

The plants are doing very well. They are starting to get a little top heavy. I will need to tie them back to the wall soon.

I added three gallons of water with nutes last night.

I will have more pics tonight.

I have been taking peeks at your posts but don't comment very much.

I have a quick question forgive me if you've answered it but, Do you have a fan blowing over the plants? Maybe they're using each other for support. If they're top heavy now just wait till you have some bud on them. Speaking of bud, I would loose that hermi before the c*nt produces any pollen sacks. I have tried to grow hermi plants only to have them seed my whole crop. Don't make the same mistake.
