I have always used General Hydroponics nutes. FloraGro, FloraMicro, and FloraBloom. I follow the mixing instructions on the bottles. I use Grotek Super Oxy H2O2 35% Hydrogen Peroxide. And PH down to pull the PH down to 5.5. The PH typ. drifts up, which is good for nutes up take. Different nutes are "taken up" by the plant at different Ph levels. So Ph drift is a good thing.

I'm using a cheap Ph pin from Hanna called a "Checker". Cheap but better than test strips. My TDS pin is also from Hanna and is called " DiST". It checks the PPM and water temp. I have two timers one for the pump and one for the lights. Thats about it for my system, In my next post I will get back into my growing situation. The great thing about these journals is it keeps you in the grow room. If your not watching your plants, you have nothing to report here. The best thing you can put on your plants is your shadow!

After I flushed the system and added nutes and balanced the Ph, the plants are looking better but again have slowed in growth. The new growth is mostly back to green. I now am down to just four plants and two of these will probably not make it. But as I said before this has been a weird grow from the first because I didn't have enough seeds when I germinated. Of the two small plants only one shows roots and thats not enough to mention. Of the two larger plants one has a good root mass started and several alternating sets of leaves and is about five inches tall. The stalk is thick and sturdy. The smaller one has a lot less roots, only a few set of leaves, and is about three inches tall. Maybe it can hold on through the stretching period. Time will tell. I have considered giving up on this grow and starting over with new and more abundant seeds, but the one big plant keeps showing promise. Do I want to finish growing just one plant and risk it being a hermie or a male? But on the other hand if it is a female it might produce some nice clones. With the mistakes I've made so far it seems to be a hearty plant. I'll try to get some pics for you.

Welcome, my good friend scrub. Everyone reading this should subscribe to scrubs' threads. He is highly intelligent and meticulous in his technique's. He keeps a low profile and is not boastful but don't be mislead, he's been doing this for a long time. And as you can see he has great diagrams and is extreamly helpful. A lot of what I have learned has come from scrub! That said, back to the grow room. After the debacle with the algae and the Ph, everything seems back to normal. The plants are all beautifully green again. A few fan leaves got hit pretty bad but the new growth is green and looks good. Now they need to start growing again, It was cold here last night. Water temp is 62 degrees. Ph is 5.58 and rising. PPM is 550 I'm giving the plants three tbs. of 35% H2O2 every day in a seven gallon res... Grow room temp is 64 degrees. This was a noon today. It wall drop to 25 degrees outside tonight so I will turn on the HPS for added heat, and the light will be good for the plants as well. Thats about it for now. Stay tuned for more exciting up dates! Thanks again scrub. It's good to have you back in my grow room!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That seems like a lot of h2o2 for that size res..... if your using it for o2 addition might be better off with an extra air stone or two.

After a cold night the water temp is 63. Turning on the HPS was a good idea. The Ph is 6.30. I will let it drift up a little more before dropping it back down to 5.5... The PPM is 550. Also the HPS seems to have jump started the biggest plant and it is growing again. The new growth is green and healthy. This might be the only plant that will make it. I will probably leave the other plants just to see what happens, but some times I just want to yank um. I will go lights out this week end. The plant has been in the Aerospring for over four weeks. I usually only need to veg for three weeks and the plants should be about ten inches tall with several sets of leaves. This plant is only about five inches tall but it has four sets of leaves and they are tightly grouped on the stalk. THC level is drifting, must go stabilize. .
