![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | nice looking root mass!! must be nice not having to switch up frozen bottles all the time. im trying to switch mine at least twice a day. i went out and got some reflective insulation the other day and wrapped my totes with it, helps a lot.. not as much as a chiller or ambient temps in the 60's, but im doing my best... i think that i had too much damage my roots before i got res temps right.. but next time will be better, which has always been the case since i started this hobby.. GROW ON!!! where did you order your nutes? hope they had a good price and free shipping for the wait.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Dr. Are you ventilating your room. If not you might need to install an exhaust fan to pull the heat out of you grow room. I used to use a bathroom fart fan. I called the hydro store. For some reason they didn't process my payment so no nutes have been shipped. I'm still using the old nutes for now. We will see how they work out until I can get to the city. Last edited by Them; 05-12-2009 at 02:17 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That sounds like you have good ventilation. But I know from experience those 1000 watt lights get really hot. I used one on my first grow. At the end of the first day it was 150f and of course the plants were dead. So I installed two fart fans and moved the ballast out of the grow room. The next thing I did was to replace the 1000w with a 400w which worked fine.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thank you for the advice them. the 1k is really hot, and with the cooling its still warm to the touch. hopefully i can afford new equipment soon. you think a 600 would be cool enough?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | At the present time I have two 400w lights burning 11 hrs per day. But I also have a high sealing in my grow room so a lot of the heat rises to the top. I'm not sure about the difference in temps between the 1000w and 600w. You might get a better response in the construction threads.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thanks for all the help and ideas, sorry for jacking your thread a bit. i thought the room was perfect when i first saw it.. but now im thinking it would be much easier to accomplish what i want by building a new room. but that will take a while so for now ill stick with what i got for now and try to make the best of it. at least ill have some nice smoke. you have a lot more head room then i do about two feet worth. im sure that helps with temps to some degree. i have been thinking about it and 400s are probably fine for 6'. but i got time before i get there so im sure you guys will help me work it out. ![]()

The latest pics. I have removed the smallest plant back to the cloner. The big mother clone was shading it out. It will go into the next grow.
