![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks Doc. I've already found one seed. I haven't had hermies before so I did not recognize the pollen sacks...I was damn curious though. Well I'm glad I started new sprouts. I think I will harvest these plants now and place the sprouts in the aerospring. I germed the mother plant, which is in the aerospring now, back in Oct. It and its clones have caused me nothing but grief sense. I'll be glad to see them go (up in smoke)..... Last edited by Them; 07-18-2009 at 05:17 AM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I chopped the hermie bitches last night. and topped the sprouts. I'll have pics soon. I had to reorder the AquaShield so I might wait a day or two before placing the sprouts in the aerospring.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Pssst. It is I, scrub. I'm lurking behind the screen. Here's a comment on Post # 402. When my last aeroponics pump died I considered buying two and placing two pumps in the system. The idea was to install the two pumps at the end of a PVC 'T' or 'U''. Each pump would have a one-way flow value. Turn on one. Leave the other in standby. The flow valve would keep water from passing backward through the unused pump. The new pump was ready to go if the first died. I did not do it out of cost concerns. Decided just to fill that sucker up with water and call it a bubbler.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey scrub, lurk all you want, just pass the vaporizer! As you can see I added some air stones, we now have four air stones. I think that will be enough. I placed ten sprouts in the aerospring. A few of them still have lazystemitus. They should straighten up over night. The water temp was a little high so I put four frozen water bottles ranging in size from one liter to a 20 oz. bottle. Water temp 66 PPM around 350 Ph 5.5 and hopefully rising. I have the light timer set to be off from noon till six PM. This is the heat of the day. I will let the plants veg until they are a little better established, then go to 11/13... I'm still using the 400w MH and the 400w HPS..... Let the games begin again!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well okiedokie then. My AquaShield came in today! So we will see if this stuff will indeed keep the roots healthy under the least favorable conditions. If August is a reflection of the temps we have had, it's gonna be a challenge to keep the res temp down. Added 45 ml AquaShield to the res. Temp up to 73f. adding frozen water bottles to pull the temp back down. PPM still around 350. I think I will add a little more nutes to the mix. This might pull the Ph down just a little. Ph 5.7......up from 5.5

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The plants have been in the aerospring for two days. At that time the roots were just small strings hanging down. The sprouts were under the floros too long and stretched more than I would have liked, but it is what it is. The growth has happened in the last two days. AM readings: PPM 600 Ph 5.8 water temp 70f Grow room is a lot cooled now that the day time temps are a bit cooler. I'm hoping Aug. doesn't kill me, and my plants. Don't get me wrong if I could afford a chiller I would get one.
