![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've got a couple of more questions if ya don't mind... Do you have a problem with slim / algae developing with the clear containers? What do you do if you do run across it? And how close do you think you could space the cuttings without problems? LB

| yeah, I get algea buildup in clear/opaque containers, I find that blue tinted ones have a lot less of this problem though...it doesn't really bother me though, I use it to remind me to totally scrub down the systems, heh...spacing, I'm not sure how tight you could pack 'em, probably as close as you could get 'em, but I usually go for 2 - 2 1/2" centers... | ||

| I have almost all the parts for your system, but what if the container doesn't have a lid? can i put the cuttings straight into the water if i suspend them? Will it work as a hydro setup then? If the roots are started in and kept in full water, will they be overwatered? Stay Up All...Mack | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sure Mack it would be the same; the top just keeps the humidity very high so the water just doesn't evaporate and it is also handy to hold the cuttings up as well. I guess if you did remove the top and suspend them it would more resemble a hydro setup. I intially started with like 4 in a quart container just to check it out and now have added 4 more holes about 2" apart; I hadn't read Epicurus' repsonse yet but it looked right But my next step is to get another unit and pack those puppies in and see where the cut off is density.Nah the roots will get plenty of air from the airstone / bubble curtain, etc that you have in there; just keep them bubbling... They'll get nice and white ![]() Grow On LB
