Hi,
I constructed a Deep Water Culture bubbler, as described in http://www.overgrow.com. My question is, how many hours a day should the air pump be on? Should it be on in intervals? What are the bst nutrients to add to the water? Should i add a rooting liquid to the water? Every how often should i change the water? Can i flower in this too?

I just looked at the site to try and find out more about the system, but couldn't find it, if you'd post a more direct link, that'd help...my guess would be that you'd leave the pump on all the time...

I also constructed one of the bubblers with some major changes, I connected two buckets together at the bottom. gave one of them a fill tube at the top on the side so I didnt have to remove the lid to fill I have two air pumps one for each bucket. Also I have a water pump that is taking water from the bucket on the right and it is running the water to the top of the buckets and running into the lavs rocks like self watering. I am planing on running the two air pumps 24/7 the water pump is on a timer plugged into the light timer so it is only running when the lights are on but their timer will give them a break so if i am on a 18/6 light system when the lights come on the pump will waight an hour, be on for 4 hours off for 2 on for 4 off. I think you get it it dont need water running 24/7 just the air I think it is a must!!

as far as nutes i ordered the General hydroponics flora grow series from Growking.

rooting liqued I dont know but I would like to.

change the water completely monthly other thatn that maybe add once a week.

yes flowering will be AWESOME in it

Im thinking of making the same kinda setup. I was thinking of making a float switch inside the bucket, so that it would fill from a resevoir with a pump when necessary. I would have the air pump on 24/7 with an airstone. And also use perlite as the medium.
Im not quite sure about watering from above also; doesnt that over-do it?
I dont have access to 'hydro nutes', but i can get powdered ferts, that dissolve in water.

What strain did u use? How big did it grow? How much bud did you get? And how long did u keep each cycle?

I cant give you a really educated opinion, but if this kind of two way system doesnt exist ready made its for a reason.
Either go with aeroponics or a drip system, I dont think it would work well in a combination.

Man, i forgot to add, that if you are pumping water from another resevoir u WILL over fill the bucket!
Let me know how it works, within a couple of days/weeks, on this topic; since i want to take some clones from some babies ive just started off

The buckets are connected, pumping water out of the right one into the tops of both law of physics says it wont over flow but I will let you know if it works I will let everyone know FlynHammer
